Spring preparations underway. Splits, divides, nucs, swarms - all happening in the busy bee yard. If all went well, we should be multiplying this season.

I'm glad I found your blog. I've been wanting to start a hive and had decided the Top Bar was for me. Thanks for posting your adventure. I was told by another beekeeper that all AL allowed was the Langstroth hive. I'm relieved to see that's not the case.
